5 Foods To Lose Belly Fat

For those of us that want to lose belly fat we know it is not easy. We also know that nutrition is the most important aspect of attaining the flat belly. This post lists 5 different foods that allow you to lose belly fat without giving yourself too much of a headache.

Oatmeal

Good ol’oatmeal. Oatmeal is in this list because it stays in your stomach for hours after you have eaten it. This is thanks to all the rich fibres it contains due to the oats being whole grain.

Another reason that oatmeal is a super food for losing belly fat is that it is natural and nearly all unprocessed. The whole meal is made up of oats which are a very healthy grain. So eat oatmeal and you will be wondering when you are going to get hungry again because it sure likes to stick around in your belly.

However: Go natural and steer clear of the sweetened varieties that are on the market today as they contain preservatives which are not good for you. Instead just sweeten your oatmeal with some jam or some fruits.

Whole Grain

Like oatmeal, anything which is whole grain will allow you to lose belly fat. Whole grain foods stick to your stomach as they say with the fibres working their magic. Furthermore there are more than 50 scientific studies which have shown that eating whole grain foods can reduce heart disease and cancer by up to 30%. If the fact that losing belly fat is not good enough then I hope that fact is.

Next time you go grocery shopping make sure you look for the word whole when purchasing pre packaged foods such as biscuits, rice and pasta. Also while out shopping make sure you purchase whole wheat bread, it will be the best choice for losing belly fat.

Personally I can tell that there is a huge difference between eating brown rice and white rice. Brown rice certainly keeps me fuller for much longer

Green Vegetables

Green vegetables are extremely helpful in losing belly fat. They are overflowing with nutrients and vitamins while also containing very few calories. Green vegetables also contain high fibres. (Are you starting to see a commonality here?). If you are not, food with high fibres are helpful for losing belly fat because the fibre causes you to eat less.

Eat foods such as broccoli, spinach, romaine, asparagus etc and you will be thanking me soon enough. You can eat these green vegetables in any way you want, raw, in a soup or stir fry them. Go crazy with them.

Beans

Beans, beans the musical fruit. The more you eat the more you toot. Yes I am sure you still remember that from your childhood. Ok beans might make you toot, but they will also aid you to lose belly fat.

Beans are low caloric foods and you guessed it, contain high fibre. They also contain a high level of protein which can assist you in building muscles which cannot be too bad now can it?

Beans are also very easy to incorporate into your daily diet so you do not have to worry too much about drastically changing your diet. You can grab beans and toss them into a salad or even a soup.

Nuts

Nuts such as almonds keep you full because they contain that little magic word we learned today. Fibre. Nuts should replace the unhealthy snacks that you don’t get anything out of.

However watch out for salted nuts and nuts with flavourings as they take away the benefit of eating nuts by having high sodium content. High sodium is bad for you because of it raising blood pressure but even more so by making you bloated. Now you certainly do not want to be bloated because you are reading this post because you want to lose belly fat right?

Well there you go, 5 foods which help you lose belly fat. Incorporate them into your diet and you should start to see results soon enough. But a last word of warning. If you want these foods to aid you, you have to eat them in a reasonable amount. Do not think that these foods in any amount will make you lose belly fat as they won’t.
